fascinating read. i've said this on my other socials but i found the author's thoughts very fascinating. some i agreed with, some i didn't. however, i won't be delving into that because it's irrelevant. i do know that a lot of muslims will feel discomfort and, perhaps, even downright hate what the author is trying to say but to me, they're just sharing their perspectives. i relate to their child self. how they questioned everything—not out of blasphemy but childish curiosity. the responses they received because of their curiosity were also something i had experienced. how shameful i felt for asking questions.
it's not just that; all the sirah brought me back into my childhood. how i have missed all these stories. their interpretations were, as i thought, controversial but thought-provoking. but underneath it all, i loved how much comfort they sought in the quran. how many of us could say the same?
