The New York Times bestselling Driven series continues with a standalone story about finding love where you least expect it…   Behind the wheel, racing champion Zander Donavan is at the top of his game. But after too much excess in his personal life, he’s forced to step away. He needs to accomplish something all on his own—outside of his famous father's shadow.     Getty Caster is running away from the abuse that clouds her past. She thinks she’s found the perfect escape—until she discovers a stranger in the beachside cottage she’d been promised. He’s undeniably sexy, but she’s there to heal. Alone.   Before long though, fighting with each other turns into fighting their attraction. And giving into desire sets off a chain reaction that has their pasts colliding. With an unexpected love on the line, can they overcome the fallout to build a future?

I adored Colton and Riley’s story even though it gutted me on multiple occasions. I read a few of the side books but don’t remember much. Since I loved Zander so much I was excited to see where life had taken him. I knew he was a driver like me Coltin but I also knew his demons were going to come back and try to drown him. And boy did they ever. He gets info from his past and he doesn’t just have a meltdown, he torpedos his entire life and punches Colton right in the throat to complete the annihilation.
Getty ran from money and privilege and control and being constantly belittled. She’s trying to build herself back up and stay out of the light.
Both need to repair and rebuild but when they find themselves in the same shall house neither is happy.
I loved that Zander called her socks and that his charm did not phase her in the beginning. I loved that Getty was terrified but determined not to be bulldozed by another man in her life. The two of them together were amazing. Each had something the other needed but didn’t know how to ask for.
I hope that there are books about the other boys because this family fought so hard to survive. And I’d love to see more of Z and Getty.

This is a standalone set in the Driven world by K. Bromberg that brings the story of Getty and Zander.

Getty is running from her past. She thinks that she found the perfect place to live but a stranger claims that it is his house.

Zander is a car racer and he is a champion but now he's forced to step away from this world.

This book was so beautiful and emotional and heartbreaking that I don't even have the words to describe it. Getty and Zander were just perfect for each other. They found happiness together. They healed each other. They were broken together. Their story was powerful and impactful and breathtaking.
