This is what all true love stories aspire to be. Xavier and Samantha meet on the wrong foot, or you could say paw, since Xavier is a veterinarian and Samantha a receiver of the cat distribution system. After a second chance though, they have the most amazing first date that doesn't seem to end. Both realizing how incredible that night was, makes the next morning even harder when Samantha is leaving to go take care of her family - across the country. No amount of trying to forget that night seems to work for either of them and they are drawn back together. 

The depth of the main characters and the emotional breadth they show, made the story come to life. The chemistry and banter between them has you rooting for them instantly and feeling their pain right alongside them. This book tackles some very heavy topics, but does so in a way that takes them seriously and gives the reader some time to process what is happening. This book is definitely worth the read and will be a memorable one.
