Conflict of interest never looked so good. Elliott Elstern didn't break barriers and become the NHL's first female referee just to throw it all away for a man. The problem? That man is Aidan De'Andomer, captain of the Kansas City Storm. The man she met four weeks ago and walked away from without looking back. The man now skating directly in front of her, grinning like he isn’t the one person she absolutely cannot touch. He's willing to risk everything for a chance with her, but Elliott knows better. One slip, one photo, one wrong move, and her dream career implodes. But chemistry this explosive doesn't stay hidden forever, and while her job is staying impartial, her heart didn’t get the memo.
