Recs if you like After the Flood...

climate fic set in worlds impacted by rising water levels

recommendations welcome, as always!

If you ask someone what apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic fiction they've read, there's a fair chance much of that list will have been written by cis men, because they're the books that get the most promotion in the genre.

My hope is that this list will help someone find a new favourite apocalypse author! ♡

Sister list to: Zombie Apocs - No Cis-Male Authors Allowed

First of a series only

Suggestions so welcome, particularly for trans, enby, & other authors of marginalised genders

Brb, just thinking about what I'd do in an environmental apocalypse

Note: I will be deleting my PB account within the next two weeks, and I believe this list will be erased. Feel free to screenshot it if you see anything that interests you! ☺️ 3/17/2026

dystopia fiction / near-future speculative fiction that hasn't hit huge bestseller lists, gone viral, etc. (for this list I'm focusing on dystopia without a heavy romance line)

This list focuses on climate fiction, specifically on floods and rising sea levels set in a near or dystopian future.
