A battered heart, a drive-by shooting, and a mysterious man on a motorcycle. Of course I got on the back, what girl wouldn’t? The fear and excitement on the back of that bike gave me the rush that I’d been craving. Thankfully, the mysterious man kept his promise and took me to my new friend, Atlas. Atlas Lawson was exciting, a free spirit, and everything my damaged soul needed. I spent weeks becoming myself again with him and his friends. They gave me confidence that I’d been missing, and they flirted with death, just like I did. Ethan Bradshaw, the kind one who had buried trauma from a past like mine. Corey Murdock, the grumpy one who wished I didn’t exist the second I walked through his door. Rio Murdock, the quirky one with zero boundaries or understanding of personal space. It was all fun and games until the man who ruined my life came looking for me. Did I mention my father was a murderer with a vendetta against me? Atlas didn’t have to stress about his friends killing me on the back of their bikes. Not when my father was likely to beat them to it. **This is a contemporary reverse harem standalone. It contains M/M content, kidnapping, violence, discussions of SA, adult themes, and four guys on two wheels with the life expectancy of a goldfish.

DNF at 32% 💕Reverse Harem (MMFMM) 🏍️Biker men ✨Friends to Lovers ✨Touch Her and Die ✨Forced Proximity ✨Insta Lust/Love 💔Tortured FMC 💔Shitty/Abusive Ex ❤️‍🩹(Re)Learning Intimacy ✅ Good worldbuilding. The author seems to have enough knowledge about bikes to write abt it, and the biker community feels fleshed out and distinct. ✅ A rare case where the different MMCs actually have distinct personalities. Granted, some of these personalities were annoying as fuck, but still. A win is a win. ✅ Corey. Just him. He was great. Ethan was good too, didn‘t do much though. ❌ Rio is an unreliable, immature, toxic, manipulative, impulsive, transgressive man-child who constantly crosses boundaries and then hits himself, so no one can be mad. He never takes actual accountability, never learns, and everyone excuses his actions because “that is just how he is.” ❌ A constant push and pull between the MMCs saying they need to give her space and then flirting, touching or kissing her. It got tiring to read about real quick. And this is the entire first 20%: them saying they won’t push her just to cross her boundaries and then play the victim. ❌ This unreliable behavior extends beyond romance and sex. They constantly make her promises that they then proceed to break. Constantly, the entire time. It gets to a point where her PTSD is triggered by Rio, but then Rio is a bit upset about it, so she gets over it immediately to baby him. ❌ Besides the romance, plot is randomly dropped. After the drive-by shooting in the beginning it is just not mentioned again, at all. They arrive at the house minutes after the shooting and that’s it. No trauma, no curiosity as to what happened, literally not even a mention of it. By the time I DNFd it had not come up again. ❌ The writing was kinda repetitive. Always the same discussions rehashed: Atlas thinks they’re driving too fast, Rio once again wants to fuck her, Atlas says to give her time, Rip is horney, Corey thinks she‘ll leave, Ethan… is there. That‘s literally the entire content of the first 30%. My book icklist speedrun: 🤨 Every single female character besides the FMC and her best friend are awful people and caricatures of high school movie bullies. 🤨 The MMCs can’t go a single page without thinking about sex in graphic detail. I hate lust > love. 🤨 What do these guys do for work? All they do is sit around, talk about sex, have sex, have parties and ride their motorcycles. And they live in a house with four bedrooms, a garage, they own bikes… Conclusion Not a BAD book I guess. There is no real plot besides the guys trying to get Skye to sleep with them and be comfortable with BDSM. Could‘ve lived with that, if 50% of all characters weren’t insufferable hypocrites.
