I loved this book, the story line was really good and so was the writing style. It was so whimsical and I like Tilly a lot. The idea of book wandering is so appealing, I wish it was real so that I can do it too.
Honestly, this book was adorable. I grew up reading the books that the main character, Tilly enjoyed reading (Alice in Wonderland, Anne of Green Gables) to name a few and I lived for her being able to interact with them. Sure, this is written for a younger audience, but I found myself smiling while reading this and would read sequels for sure.
Cute story but very basic and straightforward. I probably would have liked it better if I was 15 years younger and within the targeted audience, however, as it stands, I find the characters flat and stereotypical. They talk like adults but act like kids and their problems remain childish. The story itself gets resolved way too easily without any real conflicts considering the hero here is 11 years old. Loved the fact that the setting was a library and the sole focus was on books. The moral lessons were too obvious and slightly annoying.
