Recs if you like Paladin's Strength...

A compilation of all the books published by Ursula Vernon under the pen name T. Kingfisher. Will be updated as new works are announced!

Books with fat and plus size main characters. (leave a comment with recommendations!)

This is a list for those of you that love dark fantasy (dying gods, monsters in the woods, that kind of thing), but you also have a soft side for softies. These books still have that grim atmosphere, but they also have characters who are green flags. Someone who asks permission, protects without smothering, or just does the right thing when no one else will.

As a tall-ish girl myself, every time I come across an FMC who is described as tiny, I yearn a bit more for some tall FMC representation — we can be love interests too! 🥹😍 So I made this list of (mostly romance and fantasy) books with a tall FMC. Whether she is taller than her partner, or they are somehow EVEN TALLER than her, all is welcome here 🫶

I haven’t read every single book on this list, so please correct me if I am wrong somewhere. More book recs super appreciated!!! 🤍

T. Kingfisher's multi-series epic fantasy set in the world of the White Rat. Posted here in publication order and will be updated as new books are released.

Start at the bottom of the list and work your way up!

Books featuring nuns…

Suggestions welcome.

Bears in all their shapes and forms and across genres (this includes sentient teddybears and memoirs). If not friend why friend-shaped?! As long as the bear is plot or character relevant the book can land in here. Feel free to recommend books to be added (maybe also tell me why you think the bear functions as relevant for the story). We bear bears!

Inspired by, and initially sourced from recommendations within, the Pagebound Club post by Justsomecrazyhuman, this is a list of fantasy novels where periods exist. Shocking, I know!

Please comment your recommendations.

fiction books with a main character or prominent side character that fits the D&D Paladin class! here for the oath-taking, the divine smiting in the name of your god, the righteous vanquishing of your unholy enemies! recs and input welcome!

Books for people that crave romances but hate the mainstream romantasy trends, main characteristics required to fit this list: M/F pairings are completely fine, but they don't fit into a cisheteronormativy worldview (mostly, men and women aren't different species in these books) No weird and creepy possessiveness Characters that look like normal humans and not only thinstagram models They can find each other hot immediately but the romance has to be developed.

it’s dangerous to go alone. take this! books inspired by, about, or having a feel of a TTRPG.

inspired by a post about how tall Dr. Carlsen (The Love Hypothesis) is, here’s a list of canonically tall characters, some may not be human😈

as always, taking any & all suggestions!

You want a fantasy book without too much stress and a guaranteed happy ending? Maybe magic and a muffin? Or talking creatures drinking tea? Sentient houseplants who are occasionally bossy? I gotcha. 😉

For those of us wanting to read T. Kingfisher's backlist but don't do scary. A comprehensive list of her fantasy novels, novellas and short story collections, both indie and traditionally published.

All of the books under this pen name for those of us who can't bare to miss any

Fantasy romance books (or paranormal-adjacent e.g. Omegaverse) with FMCs in their 30s or older and/or FMCs who read as +30s

fantasy books with main or prominent side characters that fit the D&D barbarian class (at least in part!). heavy on the muscles, the bare-fist punching, and the raging! recs and input welcome!

IN PROGRESS

romance that resonates with me as a non-binary queer person who is AuDHD

created after many struggles finding romance novels that i found palatable. books are not necessarily queer nor feature explicitly AuDHD characters, they just have storylines & romances that tickle my brain

Cozy and magical, books you can curl up with and read about magical worlds, great storytelling, and otherworldly romance

We love a yearner with a backstory here.
