Recs if you like A Fig For All The Devils...

books in which Death, or a god of Death, or the Grim Reaper (or a Grim Reaper), is personified. This list will NOT include the works of Neil Gaiman (ew)

Books where grief is personified, given a body, a voice, or a shape, to explore how loss lives alongside us.

do you remember The Wiggles song “Fruit Salad”? or maybe “I Like to Eat Apples and Bananas”? what about any song from Veggietales like “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything”?

this list is freshly harvested and full of books with (specifically) fruits and veggies in the title or on the cover 🌶️🥭🍒🍋🫑🥕🍓🍑🥝🫐🍇🥒

some are more appropriate than others 😈

as always, please feel free to suggest any books I missed!

Summer reading I will be doing on a picnic blanket with fresh strawberries and a fun drink. Genre unspecified 💕 ((Any recommendations for summer-set or summer-vibes books are welcome!))

books that i have read or want to read that have autumnal vibes

Spooky vibes, dark academia vibes, witchy vibes

Books that feature a personification of Death who's a bit of a sweetheart. Maybe has a soft spot for cats. Maybe adopts neglected children and gives them a loving if unconventional home. That kind of thing.

Disclaimer: I have not read all the books in this list. Recommendations welcome!
