Recs if you like Halfway to the Grave...

I'm a sucker for them

I've been reading genre romance for going-on-30 years now and I wanted to highlight some of the books that I've enjoyedbut that have either faded into obscurity or never made it big to begin with. Be Aware! Some of these books are going to be pretty dated! Please check the original publishing dates so you know what you're getting into. I'm also happy to provide any CWs/TWs/heat levels for any book listed if you ask in the comments! (Note: I've also included some romantic fantasy/scifi in this list.)

Tales of supernatural entities and folklore-inspired stories set in the magical city of New Orleans.

For those of us who love that purrfect nickname.

Inspired by our fave chaotic show! Romance stories paired with hunting the supernatural and/or with MMC’s inspired by or similar to Dean/Sam.

Full disclosure, most of these books are a compilation of recs, so I haven’t read them all myself!

Books that feel like a CW show that takes place in the 2000-2010s.

These series openers feature ensemble casts and secondary plot arcs that stretch over multiple books. Multiple genres and eras of fiction are represented, and most series are complete while others are ongoing.

Per r/fantasyromance these fantasies will alter you

The best fiction you can find on Vampires and Werewolves and Witches. Feel free to recommend books for this list in comments section.

Looking for some vampire literature?

*still in progress

before we started calling shit "romantasy", pnr was IT for all things wild, weird, wonderful, and hot

"One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach; all the damn vampires." - The Lost Boys (1987) ⚰️ Vampire novels and novellas of varying genres spanning numerous decades 🍷 Feel free to comment your favorite vampire book that I may have forgotten

The back list of books so worth going back and reading. Just because they aren’t published recently doesn’t mean the book or series isn’t worth your whole summer.

Supernatural elements in an urban setting? Sign me up!

Fiction books of varying genres that primarily take place in The Big Easy. Not all books here are by NOLA locals. Only one book per author to keep things interesting!

Books I'd recommend to anyone!

A good PNR series is like one of those desserts you always find more room for. Do you already have shelves full of lusty vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, ghosts, and fae? Yes, duh! But that doesn't mean there's not always room to add another, and another...

Fantasy romance books I loved before they were called romantasy

Came for the plot. Stayed because apparently I have no self-control. 🌶️😂

My favorite series or standalone as
