Since I loved YA dystopian in the 2010s, I wanted to gather all the 2020s books coming out in this new trend of romantic dystopia (recommendations welcome!)

mostly thrillers, all books i stayed up way too late to read. these aren’t necessarily literature, just books that hook.

viva la revolucion. all books/series that deserve the hype.

some of these are arranged marriages but if my girl has no agency, that’s a kidnapping for sure

because forbidden romance = yearning.

Dystopian/Post Apocalyptic Romance

the point of a love triangle should be so little miss can decide who she wants to be, not who she wants to be with.

i put the first if it’s a series, though the love triangle might not be in that book.

sometimes there are books that just hook you and even if they’re not well written or plotted or whatever you just have to sacrifice your sleep to know how they end. like i genuinely felt like i would not be okay if these kids didn’t end up together.

my definition of feminist, as it pertains to this list, would be, “it just FEELS pro-women.”
