What a magnificent start to an AMAZING story. The characters... I love them all! The expanse of time of the story and the growth of the characters completely captured me. The way this was written was also very well done, I very much enjoyed that Chaplin knew their readers are intelligent and I like that that nothing felt over explained or made to be 'dumbed down' which was very refreshing to me. The world building was immaculate, I felt as though I was actually there. The plot was well paced and the twists were twisting but in ways that seemed more realistic so I can't say I was surprised by how the story went but I wasn't fully expecting it either, it was very well done. The only other thing that I feel should be noted about this tale is.... the SPICE... if you are close minded, don't want spice, and can't keep an understanding of the world built and the characters themselves then this story isn't for you... but for those all for the spice, the taboo, the deep down debauchery that spice can contain... I highly recommend! This has it all and is very very well done.... I fell off that cliff at the end and need more ASAP!
