Recs if you like Saltcrop...

I got my swim trunks & my flippy floppies 🩳🩴

I was listening to the lonely island and the next thing you know, this list happened.

this list contains a variety of books that take place on a variety of boats, ships and vessels

as always, taking any and all suggestions

A list of cozy fiction for when the world is heavy and the Book Club book is too much.

Books are cozy based on other lists or cute-munity reccs. Your milage may vary.

books where sisters’ love, hatred, or general angst towards each other is a main factor in [making you cry]/furthering the plot. Including classics/popular fiction, but particularly taking recc’s for standalone/underrepresented genres/nonfiction!!

Beautiful books for when your monthly reading roundup needs a little facelift 😉

Every single Aardvark Book Club book pick since its inception. Updated monthly!

Pirate stories, grand adventures and quests for treasure and more

Nominees and winners of every category of the Good Reads Choice Awards for the year of 2025. Some books overlap so they were only entered once.

books about space and other planets

speculative and climate fiction about where we’re going

Fiction that deals with climate change. Books may take place in the world as we know it, in the near future, or in fictional worlds experiencing climate change.

A list of every GOOD pirate or shipboard book so far

• Must include being on a ship in the water (ie not space pirates tho we love them)
• pirates preferred
• crew preferred (ie not just a romance aboard a ship. Let’s have crew problems and ship conflicts)
• recs welcome (you must think they are good, not just ship related!)
• yes I included some nonfic or interpretive historical fiction in here
• ahoy matey

A vibes-based list themed after Legend of Zelda.

Inspo: one of the creepiest dungeons in any Zelda game, Arbiter's Grounds, where souls roam a prison. Themes: death, lies, mystery, dark, ghosts & souls, revealing the truth. Not specifically horror but may have elements of it.

I've been noticing that I reach for a lot of books that are kinda sci-fi-y and center around climate change. Some are more for sure sci-fi and some are more literary/between genres

What it says on the tin :) In the past year, I've seen numerous posts, comments, videos about wanting more Sci-Fi books written by women/nb authors. Surprisingly, I did not find a list on pagebound already made for this topic, so I wanted to create one! I'd also love a quest for this too someday :) I also want this list to not only be Sci-Fi written by women/nb authors, but centering authors from marginalized communities.

Fiction that gives you both the happy tears and the sad ones!

Exciting books releasing in September of 2025!

The title explains itself.

E.g. Books that center women, particularly women’s friendships, wlw relationships, women’s resistance and survival in the patriarchy, women of color, queer womanhood and queer women, sisterhood and sisters, white women who reckon with their privilege, and women’s power and strength and fortitude. These books usually don’t cover all the topics at once, this is just the range at which the list includes.

For those characters you wanna punch so hard that they enter our world and get isekai-ed as the villain destined for death in the next world.

Must be well written. Must be characters that you’re MEANT to hate, not heroes youre pissed off at for being dumbasses. Must make you want to turn pages until they get what they deserve (or in Malta’s case, when they get the greatest character development short of Prince Zuko).
