Books that center women, particularly women’s friendships, wlw relationships, women’s resistance and survival in the patriarchy, women of color, queer womanhood and queer women, sisterhood and sisters, white women who reckon with their privilege, and women’s power and strength and fortitude. These books usually don’t cover all the topics at once, this is just the range at which the list includes.

For those characters you wanna punch so hard that they enter our world and get isekai-ed as the villain destined for death in the next world.

Must be well written. Must be characters that you’re MEANT to hate, not heroes youre pissed off at for being dumbasses. Must make you want to turn pages until they get what they deserve (or in Malta’s case, when they get the greatest character development short of Prince Zuko).
