Much of the post/apoc genre is taken up by US-centric fiction, giving a very specific mindset & often a similar type of apocalypse. There's a strong focus on guns & military. Settings outside the US can provide us with unusual, diverse & interesting stories of survival

Dystopian classics and contemporary books for adults

Shorter books (around 200 pages) to get out of a reading slump or to help pad your stats. Comment if you want recommendations, I’ve read a lot of these.

Classics can be intimidating and daunting, but there are some shorter and accessible stories (under 250 pages) you can start with that are entertaining and fun to read. So don't be afraid!
