Much of the post/apoc genre is taken up by US-centric fiction, giving a very specific mindset & often a similar type of apocalypse. There's a strong focus on guns, & military. Settings outside the US can provide us with some unusual, diverse & interesting stories of survival.
Fictional settings allowed. Some books may cross borders, inc sections in the US. Allowance made for US indigenous authors.
First of a series only.
Zombies outside the US have their own list.
Suggestions welcome!

Aaaaah yes so many are military-centric bc they are meant to boost recruitment đđđ
That is one of the most depressing things I've ever read, especially because it seems 100% correct! đ
ooh, I love this so much! đ
Yay! Happy to hear it! I just read two of these back to back and it's just so nice to get outta the fictional US!
There's a few other niche apocalypse lists on my profile, if you like this kinda thing! âĄ
ohhh yes! i don't remember if it's specifically post-apocalyptic or just dystopian YA, but the slated trilogy by teri terry is set in england if it counts !!

From memory of reading it, I think it's more dystopian... But I'll add it to my shelf to check out later! May well do a dystopian list at some point, anyway, lol! Thanks!!
I have a list of over 100 apoc and zombie apoc books to go through now. But just hit a roadblock of, oh, you can't re-order the list once you add books! đ
np, and yeah from my vague recollection from reading it like a decade ago i had a hunch but wasn't sure lmao. honestly the not being able to reorder lists is so annoying i feel that đ
eta sorry idk why pb didn't add this as a reply, app moment ig đ
Yeah, I'll make a suggestion at some point, though I wouldn't be surprised if it's something they want to do and just haven't prioritised yet.
Nw... Happened to me just a few mins ago on some thread or other lol
