Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

Does true love exist or is it merely a fairytale for the lonely? I don’t think I’ll ever forgive my mother. She abandoned my father and I when I was little to play house with her new family. Now that he’s gone, she’s asking me to come down to a ranch in the middle of nowhere to make amends. Then she sends Duke West to pick me up from the airport. This cowboy is hot enough to convince me to stay on the ranch for a few days, but it won’t change anything. I’ll take a break and go right back to New York where I can forget any of this ever happened. Only... Duke is a man whose presence simply demands to be remembered. Ranch Escape is a series packed with action, high heat and lots of passion where love comes from an unexpected place and fights to grow stronger. Enjoy! In this third installment of the series, Annie and Duke grow closer. They learn that they have to be open and honest in their communication for them to work, especially since that's not the normal for either of them. Annie continues to bond with her half-sister and brother as well, now that she knows the full story about what happened with her mother and father. She's still left feeling a bit lost since her dad is gone and she doesn't have anyone to confront about the lies he told her. An emergency with Duke brings the reality of everything home to Annie and she tells her family and Duke how she feels about them and him (they already knew!). Duke continues to deal with his brother Dakota being back and wondering about his sobriety. He also wants to protect his mom, who it appears from the cliffhanger will be the next concern.
