Recs if you like Yours for the Taking...

every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!

bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.

i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!

in progress

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Open to suggestions for more titles.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Fiction stories where white women use and abuse people of color and other marginalized people. Thank you @chris for pointing out what a great list this would make!

Queer sci-fi 💫 (Not always in space, I think I've covered most sci-fi subgenres)

Every single Aardvark Book Club book pick since its inception. Updated monthly!

Books that use climate change as a major force or backdrop.

adult and young adult books about queer women/girls surviving in apocalyptic dystopias (zombies, viruses, disasters, evil governments, etc.) because even the end of the world wouldn’t stop me from being super gay.

not food related, not the prettiest covers ever (though some of them definitely are), just book covers I want to eat 👅

When you want to read something a step above trash

Sapphic stories set right as or right after or after or long after the shit hit the fan.

Books to widen the possibilities of how we might save ourselves us from the worsening climate crisis by recognizing and learning from the queerness already represented in nature

Sapphic books I don’t see people talking about as much. Mileage may vary!

All the recs I got on my post, Asking for weird dystopian feminist books that make you question everything and that have the same vibe as "Tender is the flesh" :)) Thank u all!!

It's a list of of science fiction and fantasy books where at least one protagonist is a lesbian. I've read most of these.

My unread list of GCA 2024

a mix of near-future / speculative / dystopian / science fiction, satire, poetry, and nonfiction on apocalypses past, present, and future, and how we have and can continue to live through them.

List of books that features villainous/morally grey women. Some of those will only harm a person in self-defense, some are full-on genociders.

Any book that has Sapphic characters or sub plot!
