White Women are the Villains, Actually

Fiction stories where white women use and abuse people of color and other marginalized people. Thank you @chris for pointing out what a great list this would make!

Yours for the taking by Gabrielle Korn definitely fits. One of the plotlines is a white female billionaire building a woman-only vault to protect herself from the apocalypse. It backfires as well as you'd expect. TW for reproductive violence. Although I don't remember race of women she abused. Still a great book.

Thanks so much! I’ll add that one!

Sheer by Vanessa Lawrence would be a perfect fit for this list. It's a rare depiction of racist abuse perpetrated by a white lesbian

Oooh that sounds perfect! Thank you!

in case you're looking for suggestions, i think fireheart tiger by aliette de bodard would be a great candidate for this list.

Oooh thank you! I’m always open to suggestions!

ahhhhh amazing!! going to look through my library for any recs - i think julie chan is dead (or julie chan is not dead) fits though!

Oh yes! I forgot about that one but that’s a good one too!

freaking AMAZING list

Love this list! Idk if you want nonfiction, but Ruby Hamad's White Tears / Brown Scars is chef's kiss!

Thanks for the rec! I was debating about adding nonfiction or not, but am keeping it to fiction for now. @leylines women and white power in the United States has nonfiction covered pretty well, including white tears/brown scars, so I wanted to avoid a list that copy and pasted a lot of the same books! 🤣
