I don’t like weddings and I never want to have one. But I agreed to be maid of honor for my friend, Cassie. And then I met the best man and instantly changed my mind. Martin Michel was a striking, silver fox with brooding good looks and intense gray eyes. He captivated me.When he shook my hand, his touch sent tingles down my spine. And moistened my lady bits.I couldn't take my eyes off him. His gaze made me feel alive.I daydreamed about walking down the aisle as the bride, envisioning Martin's loving gaze on me. No other man ever consumed my thoughts like this. At the reception, I wanted to be in his arms dancing, but he seemed to be avoiding me, dancing with another woman. Disappointment filled me. I need a plan to get his attention. I intend to have him. There’s only one hurdle that I can he’s my father’s age and his business partner!

Cassie and Ric have been friends since they were little kids. They were best friends through high school but have both secretly had a crush on the other for a long time, but never made a move. Each has gone their own way and Cassie is now a baker and Ric a world famous chef. They come back home for their five-year reunion and finally give into the attraction between them. The next day, Ric leaves for Paris for culinary school. Close to 7 years pass and Cassie and Ric bump into each other again when he is in their hometown to open a new restaurant. They go right back to being friends, but what happens when Ric meets Cassie's 6-year old daughter? Will they finally admit how attracted they are to each other? Will they make a family with their daughter (Piper, who is adorable!)?
I loved these characters and I just wanted them to get together and get their happily ever after!
