Recs if you like When We Were Sisters...

queer/trans south asian books! this list is multi-genre, and so includes queer rep from fantasy, romance, memoirs/non-fiction, poetry, etc.! recs are always welcome :)

Fiction featuring sisters, because sisters are the best. (Note that not all sister relationships are easy, they are complex and layered and sometimes difficult.)

a lot of what i read is what i see talked about, books at the top of search results, books face out at bookshops, etc. i never really stopped to consider how many of those books were written by white authors, so i have set a task to be more conscious of the cultural and ethnic diversity in my reading and thought to make a list to keep track of what i’ve read and what i want to read.

please feel free to comment any recommendations!
