Recs if you like Red Sister ...

books featuring or set in magic schools / universities / academies, aka, one of the best subgenres in existence !

this list has books for all ages (am actively looking for more adult options), most of the books are dark academia, and ALL of them are fantastical 🪄 recs welcome <3

(alternatively, books to fall in love with & share with others to help avoid supporting or promoting JKR. i will never shut up ab how the Nevermoor series deserves the popularity that Harry Potter enjoys !)

If we are going to do Qwordy's the Hardest Reading Challenge You'll Ever Do 3.0 - we should probably get some Pagebound badges along the way! I'm specifically going to be adding books from Quests and readalongs that go past the July start date and match at least one of these title prompts: Periodic Table, Familial Terms, Rainbow of Words (also Joseph's coat), Numerical Titles, Titular Counting 5+, Pun in the Title, and First & Last Name in the Title. Recommendations welcome!

Books featuring nuns…

Suggestions welcome.

'It seemed to me that anything unpredictable was named dangerous by Gods and men alike. But the word UNPREDICTABLE seemed reserved for women alone. A woman they cannot control, whether Goddess or mortal, is a dangerous woman' Hekate by Nikita Gill. A list of "dangerous" women. Please recommend any dangerous women I missed!

books with bisexual characters (even if they end up with the opposite sex THEY'RE STILL BI)

Exactly what it says on the tin, books that feature queer nuns (some Christian, some of a more fantastical variety)

recommendations appreciated!! ♥️

Morally grey or straight up baddies? Aiming to collect books written from a villainous/morally grey POV so suggestion appreciated.

woman mc + women main cast

We've all read books about lady witches, all seen the stories of their powers rooted in the earth and emotion. I, however, prefer my women to be wizards. Scholars of the arcane, big towers, and magic rooted more in their knowledge, rather than their instincts. sighs dreamily

Please please please give me more recs 🥺🥺🥺

Books where violence, anger, and revenge are central themes.

Fantasy books with FMC full of rage/unhinged/willing to burn the world to get what they want/suffering such injustice that YOU're the one full of rage reading it --- read or recommended

I support women's wrongs and their right to kiss each other

Forget everything you know about the golden hour. In these halls, knowledge isn't just power—it's a blood sacrifice, a cursed bargain, or a secret that could tear the stars from the sky. Whether you're navigating the lethal corridors of the Scholomance, deciphering the forbidden linguistics of Oxford’s silver-working, or joining a secret society at Yale that deals in the ghosts of the past, this list is for the scholars who prefer their ink black and their magic dangerous.

Everyone is adoring the first episodes of Critical Roles newest campaign 4 with DM Brennan Lee Mulligan and our large cast of 13 members. This list is a break down of book recommendations for those apart of the Seekers Table.

You should check out these series if you enjoy epic fantasy, like Brandson Sanderon's work! (First books listed only.)

This list is for women who are anti-heroes, because we don’t have enough of those! Women deserve to be problematic and the heroes of their own story too. Yes she wants to save the world but maybe she’s also hurting innocents along the way? Maybe she’s a bit selfish in her motivations but her actions are ultimately a net positive? Hopefully you get the gist! This list was first inspired by Iron Widow.

Books I came across on tiktok All genres

Women in fantasy who refuse to play the hero. They conquer, manipulate, burn kingdoms down, and occasionally save the world along the way.
