Leo Talbot and I were high school sweethearts who promised to love each other forever. Until I discovered love is a lie, and that promise was broken. When he shows up in town with his little girl who I can’t help but adore, it’s impossible not to get swept up in the hope of a second chance. And Leo makes it clear he’s determined to break down my walls, rebuild my trust in love, and prove to me that our promise was never really broken. With years of heartache and pain between us, can I let Leo stand beside me as I face the ghosts of my past? Or will all of the hard lessons I’ve learned, only make me push him away again? Then and Now is perfect for fans of second chance romance, steamy small town love stories, swoony single dads, and close knit friend groups. This book is for readers who want a hint of angst with a lot of spice and a guaranteed HEA for soul mates who find their way back to each other against all odds. This is the fifth and final full length novel in the Dogwood Cove series and can be read as a standalone, although the series is best enjoyed if read in order.

This is the final book in this series but it can be read as a standalone. The history of the other characters in this story is somewhat filled in so it spoils some of the prior books, but not too much.

This is the story of Leo & Serena. Leo is moving back to Dogwood Cove to be the assistant police chief, but he's coming back with his young daughter. Serena has also returned to town and is running a dance studio, a far cry from the premiere ballet company where she pictured herself. Injury had her coming home and while she's happy with the studio, she isn't making enough money to cover the mortgage and expenses. So she may soon lose that dream as well. Then she sees Leo at the street fair and hides, not sure how she feels about him. Then they literally run into each other while shopping and she's less than gracious. But soon they have rekindled a relationship. But can Serena trust that when someone loves her that it's going to last? Or will it be just one more dream dashed and proof that she should never risk her heart?

You know those cute holiday type movies, this book series is that but better!

I great small town love story, second chances, hot guy, single dad and he is a cop!

Do we call him daddy or officer?

Either way the 5th instalment of Dogwood cove series was a great closer. It was great to have the previous book characters be involved.

Serena and Leo's second chance at love was an amazing read with a nice amount of steamy scenes. I enjoyed this book the entire way through.

    Definitely recommend the entire series!
