Recs if you like Eragon (The Inheritance Cycle, #1)...

You liked Harry Potter but you’re angry at the author for being a huge transphobe and you would like some alternatives because you don’t want to give money to her so she can finance transphobia and you have enough of Harry Potter’s racist stereotypes like Cho Chang and other problematic themes in this saga? You’re in the right place! I haven’t read all, if some are misplaced, let me know! Also, if you want more fantasy recs, I have a queer fantasy list! It is addressed to different ages.

Crimes committed by movie studios against amazing books. “The book walked, so these movies could trip and fall down the stairs” - JadeLovesBooks ✨

a list of fantasy book recs free of problematic authors so you can discover without any stress of promoting them!

Allow me to set the scene:

It’s 2 AM on a school night but you only have 100 pages left. You will power through. Forget the math test you have first period. This is your priority. And you must know how the book ends.

I don’t know what sort of millennial catnip these 2000s YA authors put in these books, but let me tell you, my “baby millennial” self was addicted.

Pagebound Millennials: what YA were you reading?

Books of the millennial reader's childhood (not just scholastic book fair). Sticking with chapter books, and not picture books :) All books pre-2005 Taking recs!

Books with prominent non-human characters who are confused, horrified, fascinated, or delighted by human behavior!

Please add suggestions in the comments because I need more books like these 💜

I know there are a couple other dragon lists out there, but a lot of them were missing some of my favourites, so I'm just making my own!

These books the dragons will play a significant role in the plot, even if the focus of the book isn't dragons themselves (like the Hobbit).

For books in a series, I'll only be adding the first one.

Feel free to drop suggestions! I'm trying to include all the dragon books I can.

A compendium of books featuring dragons

Just an absolute butt-tonne of dragon books, baby!!

Books that were adapted into movies (not tv shows). Let's make this list as long as possible!

(going to only add the first book in a series)

Dragons everywhere. From tiny, mischievous hatchlings to wise, ancient sky-soarers, these books are packed with scales, sparks, and heart. Expect warmth, wonder, and at least a little fire.

i love fantasy but really hate it when the dragon is evil. it's one thing to be greedy and selfish and want shiny things and be clever and kinda evil, it's another when they are dumb violent beasts :( they are my friends! also i created this list in hopes to keep adding new finds so pls feel free to suggest recs!

"I feel like you're just here for the swords." 🙂‍↕️

A collection of books in which the sword/s have a very important role to play in the narrative.

A roundup of YA books that were popular back in the days of us baby millennials. For anyone feeling nostalgic for the 2010’s. Draw a little mustache on your finger because you’re so quirky and get reading like you already finished your homework for the night!

Not all dragons are book worms, but they love a good story.

This is a list of books representing every pokemon in HeartGold and SoulSilver (So Johto+Kanto regions). For my sanity, this is one book per evo line. The list with match-ups is in the comments✊🏻💚

These middle grade series may not have seven movies, a TV show, and a literal theme park dedicated to them, but they sure deserve it! Especially because they weren't written by JKR. All recommended by Pagebound users, and suggestions are always always welcome -- middle grade fantasy/mystery series-starters only, please! Let's foster a love of reading in kids without supporting bigotry and hatred.

YA and adult sci-fi/fantasy. Comment with suggestions!
