Recs if you like Tender Cruelty...

I love reading romances between men and women where one or both of the characters are bi because it shows the potential of bi people to fall in love with any gender, if that makes sense. So often bi people in “straight” relationships don’t get clocked as LGBTQ+ and I like seeing how they make a “straight” relationship queer. It’s also nice to read about LGBTQ+ outside of achillian and sapphic stories and spaces. I’m always on the hunt for more.

Want to start reading dark romance but unsure which book to start? These are good starters before diving into more darker themes!

Romance novels where the MCs are an MF couple that is straight-presenting, but one or both is/are queer

Retellings and reimaginings of all different types of Greek Myth, bonus points for centering female voices and experiences that were otherwise minimised in the originals

Mythology retellings (Greek/Roman), and book set in Ancient Greece or Rome.

Romances in which all members of the relationship kick ass physically and/or intellectually. Open to recommendations.
