Threats and conspiracies emerge with every turn, and all the while her wedding looms closer. Between funerals and hangings, coronations and balls, Charlie must find the strength to prove to her people — and to herself — that she can be the queen they need, even though it required breaking her heart in two. Her allies are few and unexpected, and enemies await in the most familiar of places. Will Charlie live long enough to see her wedding day? Or will the perils of her choices finally catch up to her?

I received a copy of this book from the authors in exchange for an honest review.
I’m still a big fan of this series, even as it’s drawing to a close. It makes me sad thinking there’s only one book left, and even more excited to see how it ends.
Charlie’s characters is evolving into someone who would make a great queen. She gets stronger as the series goes, and she’s beginning to think more like a Queen now, than ever before.
Her relationship with Logan is a complicated one, and all I want is for them to be happy and together. Just when I think they’ve finally found happiest, a major twist keeps thrown into the mix, and I didn’t see if coming.
I have no idea what’s in store for Charlie or Logan, and my trust in Oli is severely lacking. So the fourth and final book cannot come soon enough!
