I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I didn't love, nor did I hate this one. The plot felt predictable and a bit overdone. It was as if I was reading any other mafia romance book. The romance between Damara and Angelo was a bit rushed, considering how much Damara went through. In my opinion, Damara needed more time, and while she did get a few days, it felt as if the abuse didn't affect her as much as it should have. Damara was a strong character. Angelo was supportive and understanding throughout, and I can appreciate that.
