Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic / lesbian characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Queer stories that are under 200 pages

These sapphic books come from all different genres, each one filling a past Sapphic September prompt plus several bonuses!! How many have you read?

Books with sapphic relationships where they both live, and/or have a happy ending. This collection of books has been recommended to me based off of a post I made in the sapphic across genres forum. This is made in order to try combat the media's tendencies of killing off the sapphics (when they actually do decide to give us representation). please be aware that I haven't read most of these, so they may not be entirely accurate to the list title. I am open to any suggestions as well!

Happy International Women's Day! Have a huge pile of our favorite books starring queer women (fiction and non-fiction!). queer books by southeast asian authors, featuring southeast asian protagonists

Do you love fairytales, folklore, mythology, and classics but wished they were sapphic? Then this list is for you!

I haven't read all of them, so if you believe one of these does not contain a sapphic romance (subplot), pls tell me in the comments! Recommendations are welcome!

These are books I’ve read and enjoyed that I don’t see talked about much and think are criminally underrated! Most are under 5000 ratings on goodreads, with a few exceptions

Do you love fairytales, but wished the girl ended up with a princess instead of a prince? Than this list is for you!

This list contains sapphic fairytale/folklore retellings.
I have other lists for mythology and classic retellings!

Each year, for Chinese New Year, we do a rec list with books aligned to the Chinese zodiac animal for the year. Most of these books are queer, though often it's subtextual. We've done 3 lists so far: 2024, dragons; 2025, snakes; 2026, horses. Find all the recs for these lists here!
