The SCP is an organization that Secures, Contains, and Protects our world against anomalous objects, entities, and phenomena. Be advised: these books contain such SCPs that have escaped confinement and have caused havoc and destruction. Read at your own peril. And remember to document your findings.

i love SCP!!! i believe the novel âThere is no Antimemetics Divisonâ recently came out which was originally an SCP work! i think it got scrubbed of SCP stuff for copyright reasons but the original edition is still available on the SCP wiki
Me too! I can (and have) get lost in discovering each SCP I come across. And I've briefly come across that book. I marked it as Interested because it sounded exactly like something I would enjoy reading. But that's really interesting that it really is an SCP. Thanks for mentioning it!
oh this list will be influencing my tbr, so cool!!
Thanks! I hope you find something you like.
I love this list! Both Mister Magic & We Used to Live Here are some of my favorite horror books so Iâll definitely need to check out the rest
I really liked Mister Magic so creepy and sinister. I love books with contrasting tones, with the bright and happy children's show with dark horror undertones.
Yes! And there were so many little things that are meant to seem innocuous at first but are actually more sinister when you really think about it. I loved the inclusion of the all the various childrenâs rhymes that Jenny and Val kept reciting. It really gives a lot of insight into the ideals they were raised with
What a fabulous idea for a list and thank you for the new rabbit hole!
You're welcome! Hope you find something you like. It's a fun rabbit hole to fall down.
OMG LOVE THIS! To clarify, are any of these books from or about the SCP universe?
Aww thank you! And no, they are books with beings/entities that are SCP like in nature. Although I was told that There is no Antimemetics Division is directly inspired by the SCP.
oooh this is such a cool list!!
Thank you! I love each SCP, probably why I love horror so much, so I wanted to find my own literary SCPs.
I added a whole bunch into my TBR đ
Yay I'm glad you found some you like. I was afraid I added too many, and people would be overwhelmed. I just couldn't stop adding once I started.
Is that a fear đ Iâm in trouble then. All I want to do is add more to lists - my own or others.
Rereading The Employees, and remembered your list! I recommend it and suggest it for the list. I see you have Hex on here but not Echo by Heuvelt - I reccomend and suggest that one for the list too! I believe House of Leaves would also fit. And maybe Bourne by VanderMeer. Love this idea, and will be thinking of the list & checking in with titles if I think of more!
Thanks for the recommendations! I'm not familiar with some of those, but I'll definitely check them out.
