Books with Non-Binary Characters
Happy International Non-Binary People's Day! Here's a pile of books that our rec list contributors love that feature non-binary representation (some explicit, some subtextual/interpreted - so your interpretation may differ, and that's okay!). (This list is presented by Duck Prints Press, the indie publisher focused on publishing queer art and stories by queer creators! A group of us collaborate to make these recommendations.)

Despite the cover, I found this to be really cute. It knows what it is and it does it with aplomb!
Yule, a cat, has run away from his abusive owner to take refuge in the Wild Beast Forest House. He has a history with the owner, even though the owner doesn’t seem to remember. Yule begins cleaning at the house and comes to find that he now has a new animal family.
It’s a sincere, fluffy, warm, and sweet fantasy that knows exactly what it is. The art and pastel aesthetics are so soothing. And even though the setup and clothing is kind of corny, it almost wears that with pride. It's not really deep, but it doesn’t seem like it’s really trying to be. It’s so cozy tho.
I’m so gonna finish this little series 🥰

This may be a controversial discussion topic, but next week I'm embarking on a major inventory (and declutter) of all my physically owned books and I have a slight quandary so would love to get other peoples opinions.
Normally, if there's a book I own but don't feel the need to keep I donate it to charity or drop it into a little free library. It's easy enough to do and gives others a chance to discover books they may not have otherwise known about OR been able to afford. But I also own some books that I don't feel right sharing in any way, including LFLs, because they promote bigotry. In particular, I'm thinking about the Racist Wizard Books by The Infamous Terf. I received all the books as gifts when I was a kid and am sick of having them in my house, but I also don't want to further their reach by adding more into circulation. To be clear: this isn't about censorship (if you want to read them that's your choice) but about not wanting to personally put them into someone else's hands.
So the question: How do you get rid of books you own, but ethically hate and don't want to help circulate?

I mean I already knew I loved Link Click. And this vol is very low on pain (by Link Click standards) so that's a plus.

Are you ahead, on track or behind on your reading goals this year? I’m 6 books behind because a few rough months and now a book has 2.5 pages to hook me or I’m pausing and trying a new one. I love it though it’s fun for me and is helping me rearrange the monthly plan I made on here based on the vibe I get from the first few pages of the books I’m trying.

It's been a long time since I watched the beginning of the donghua; I forgot just how structured things are before everything starts going haywire.
Also. If you know you know, and ow.
