How do you feel about DNF? I’m not liking one rn for a quest I’m in but I’m feeling guilty to DNF. Is it just a me thing?

Does anyone have dark thriller, disturbing horror, or fast paced fantasy novel recommendations? What books could you simply not put down? What books made you feel like they went by in a flash? If its fantasy, I prefer books with, if there's romance, for the romance to be a subplot but not the main focus if you would be so kind. Id really, really appreciate some recommendations if you would be so kind to generously give me some of your time. Its really appreciated. Im really new to pagebound and am incredibly socially awkward, but Id love to be active within the community. Thank you in advance ❤️❤️❤️

I have no eloquent thoughts to share.
Was this book good? No. Was it good for a laugh? 100%. And you can bet I will be reading the sequel.
Honestly, this book is exactly as advertised - girl meets pillow, pillow becomes pillow-man, girl and pillow-man get HEA. Temper your expectations and you’ll probably have a good time.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Okay fellow Pagebound users I have a question for you! When you are reading a book what do you see? This sounds crazy but I had a conversation with my sister and we both agree we visualize the characters and everything that happens pretty vividly like we are there with the characters or maybe like a movie, sometimes even smells or feelings based on what we’re reading. however I asked another friend and they said they just see words on a page??? 🤔🤔I have done some googling and it appears there is a gradient of what people see when they picture an image or read a book? This is news to me as I thought the appeal of reading is to vividly hallucinate to, if you think about it….ink shapes on dead trees? Anyways wondering if anyone has anything to add to this lol - I may delete this as it might not make any sense but I hope it does🤔

guys, idk what to do here, I'm upto the tandum read in the series, I know I'm close to finishing but I'm really not vibing the series anymore and most of the time it's felt pretty mid. I want finish because my OCD is getting triggered but idk...I think I need validation to drop the series because I'm never going back once I do and I'll forget everything that's happened if I tried to go back later.

I'm looking for a book suggestion about fresh starts for a book club, does anyone have any good recs?
The book just needs to be a standalone under 400 pages ☺️

i was watching a video by Man Carrying Thing on youtube, and he mentioned "depiction does not equal endorsement." this is a statement i wish was more popular with younger readers, especially when they first encounter books with taboo topics, dark romance, etc. things that one might consider to be "dangerous."
anyway my point with this post is to ask if anyone else has an idea or a concept about books and reading as a whole that they wish were more popular?
