I don't want to give too much away, but this was an atmospheric and genuinely creepy haunted house story that gripped me from the first page to the last. I loved the characters and the direction it took. Five stars!

Oh my word! This one just starts off spooky AF right from the beginning! Darcy really just hit us with the creep factor right out of the gate. There were so many moments in this book that were described so well and just gave me absolute chills while I was reading it. Such a fantastic haunted house story. Another win for Darcy. I say this every time, but the way her mind is able to come up with these hauntings that are so different for each book. Like on one hand I'm IMPRESSED, on the other hand I'm kind of glad I don't live in her mind. It sounds weird in there.
I LOVED our MC's. Leigh and Sarah were so much fun to read on page and to see together. They were just the absolute best duo in a haunted house. Like, if my house is haunted, I want these two ladies on the job.
There were some EPIC plot twists in this one. And I'm not going to say I didn't guess the first one, because I absolutely did but it wasn't because she'd really given us any clues, it was more of me just being like "You know what would be awesome if it happened?" and then, THE THING HAPPENED and I lost my shit.
As always, Darcy can do no wrong. I will continue to read her backlist until there's nothing left to read.
