French Literature Final Boss
=== Stable! ===
Based on my original post on having quests for French Literature, I made starter packs (check my profile 👀) but I'm thinking we just need a big dump! Thanks to everyone participating!
This list covers books across time by French authors (as in people that have the nationality no matter their origins) and can hopefully incentivize crossovers with the Francophonie mon amour list!
Check comments to see how I diversified the list!
French Classics ⁺‧₊˚ ☕️⋆°｡⋆🥐 ˚₊‧⁺
This list comprises numerous French classics, from romantic epics, to realist critiques of society, to philosophical fiction, to scandalous stories, poetry, & more! I’ll be updating it sporadically.
Francophonie mon amour ❤️
==== Work In Progress, taking recommandations! ====
Based on my original post on having quests for French Literature! Thanks to everyone that participated in the discussion and still do!
This list covers books first published in French, from all over the world!

French classic lit (that's not Hugo and Camus)
Some staples of French literature that might be lesser known in the English-speaking world. List not finished, and all books are available in English. Centuries currently included: 12th to 20th. Genres: Novels, poems, plays, essays.
Jane Austen's Bookshelf
Books that may have inspired her, as documented in the book of the same name. Updating as I work my way through the source material and some supplemental reading. Note: not all of these were Austen-approved, like Fordyce's sermons, lambasted in P&P. But we are also shaped by what we consider in poor taste and judgement.
