Fluff Between Big Stuff
This is like literary sorbet, books that are simple, sweet, and pretty easy to digest when you want to turn your brain off, decompress after a big, intense book, or break out of a reading slump.

Asexual Rep in Speculative Fiction
Speculative fiction (fantasy, horror, sci-fi, etc.) about, or prominently featuring, ace characters. This includes demisexual characters and ace-spec characters as well! ๐ค๐ค๐ corrections & recommendations welcome <3
Note: used to be titled โFor My Fellow Garlic Bread Loversโ but I worried it would cause confusion or not enough clarity on what the list was about (still keeping the bread emoji tho)

Asexual Representation
Fiction and non-fiction in which a main character, prominent supporting character, or narrator is canonically/confirmed to be on the asexual (ace) spectrum.
๐Canon: Confirmed by either the text or original creator. (Subtextual/implied and circumstantial characters can be found on my other ace list)
โDisclaimer: I have not read all these books. Please feel free to correct me in the comments if I have made a mistake in my research. Or if you have any new titles to recommend.

The Ultimate Collection of Fantasy Standalones
Perfect for fantasy lovers with not enough hours in the day!
Feel free to mention any I missed in the comments ๐

Cozy Fantasy
Cozy and magical, books you can curl up with and read about magical worlds, great storytelling, and otherworldly romance

I see dead people
In which a main character sees ghosts ๐ป

I See Dead People
Protagonists and supporting characters who see and/or hear the dead / ghosts

Ace & Aro Fairy Tales
Fairy tale and folklore-inspired narratives as well as atmospheric/quiet/light fantasy with canon aspec characters, aspec-readable themes such as rejection of relationship hierarchy and meaningful companionships, or simply excluding elements of either sexuality or romance. Limiting these to books aimed at adults but will include kidlit that may resonate with older audiences too, such as classics or kidlit with older protagonists.

what if i tried becoming a cozy mystery reader?
i am trying my darndest to give this genre niche its best shot

Old Man Yaoi
A depressingly short list of old man yaoi. Both characters need to be 40+, or at least darn close to 40 - not just one old man x one younger man age gap romance (not that I don't love that too, but it's not old man yaoi imho). No, 40+ isn't "old" by any objective measure, but even finding stories like that is hard, if we make it actual old man yaoi, it'll be even harder.

Underrated Queer Fiction
These Books changed my brain chemistry and I want more people to read them.

Cozy Fantasy
Light cozy fantasy for when you need a pick me up

Cozy Fantasy Found Family
Cozy fantasy, with the best trope of all: found family.
