There's a kind-of inside joke in the (online) asexual community surrounding us loving garlic bread lol. Lot's of memes along the lines of "sure sex is great, but have you tried garlic bread?" and "when people are hateful to asexuals, but we're just over here eating garlic bread and minding our own business" etc. etc.

The Cascadia series by Sarah Lyons Fleming might be a good add here. One of the MC's is ace and it's beautifully written! I love love love the family of soulmated friends he's built for himself (even before the zombie apoc hits haha)! đ

I definitely need to find some books in this list that fit my reading niches because I really need more ace rep in my life! I do tend to read a lot of speculative fiction (albeit primarily in the apocalyptic genre) so there's gotta be SOMETHING here that's gonna work for me lol. Thanks for making this list!

I do think most of the books on this list are SF & fantasy but I also have been really liking apocalyptic fiction so if/when I ever stumble across one with ace rep I will DEF be adding it on here

... has a character come out as ace. He's a full on part of the series all the way through, we just didn't know he was ace. Idk if that counts for your list, but you might enjoy it, as I did!! Great trans rep in the series too (author is a trans guy).

Oh hey... It's How We Survive rather than the second in series novella How We Began where the character actually comes out as ace. He's actually not in the novella you added, as it instead follows a side group to our main characters. âĄ
