Does anyone else have a list of List ideas? I tend to be very much in my own world when it comes to reading books, so my ideas of lists don’t really go anywhere. 😬

I just thought it’d be nice to share some ideas of lists that I’ve been sitting on but would love to read more about:

• Waste Disposal is the main character (fiction) - Books that focus on waste disposal and how we’re not watching the items we consume. (Inspired by Gachiakuta and the influence of Japanese cultures 🔗 Tsukumogami in its storyline.)
• Pick your mount. No, not that one - Books with unusual mounts, not including dragons or horses. (Inspired by The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor series where the MC rides a bull.)
• When I Stopped Singing - a list of books where the main character just doesn’t want to talk anymore, I guess voluntary mutism or took a vow of silence (Personal interest)
• Magic is Accessibility - a list of books where the world has magic and accessibility, people can be magic, disabled and not want to be “fixed.” (Inspired by the disability reps in the Witch Hat Atelier mangas by Kamome Shirahama)
• Ripping at the Roots - books about people fixing their community, I think kind of like being a terrible person in their youth, or having left without mending old relationships. Basically about rebuilding burnt bridges. (Inspired by my last reread of The Losers by Harley Laroux.)

I view Lists as a group project (but if people don’t want it to be, it doesn’t have to be), so I’m putting these out there incase people have recs.

So, do you have any ideas for lists? If you’ve already put out the list, what inspired it?

What are some people favorite sports romance or non-romance books ? I'm not looking for reccomendations but I'd love to hear them.

I really enjoyed chelsea curto, the DC Star series, the Jacksonville Rays series , the football series by Ana Huang, etc.

I'm trying to get into F1 romances . It's taking a bit because I'm newer to F1 races, but I have the dirty air series and one of the amy James one , which is apparently rwrb x f1

I've been revisiting some of my old DNFs to see if I do better with them this time around, and it got me thinking. I've heard a lot of discussion about beloved books that are disappointing when you reread them - but I don't remember ever talking about when the opposite happens!

Do you ever give your DNFs another try? (FOMO has definitely made me attempt some books far more times than I should've.) Or was there a book you disliked when you read it for school, but really enjoyed when you read it for yourself later?

Or even just, books you enjoyed, and enjoyed MORE on a reread, when you were more aware of what the author was doing and could appreciate it more?

I had such intense whiplash with Empire of Exiles by Erin M. Evans - it was a bit of a slog, a three-star read for me the first time around. But the second time I read it I ADORED it, and I still have no idea what was wrong with me for that first read! (Anyone else out there pining for book three?)

Or College of Magics by Caroline Stevermer - that was one I DNFed, a few times actually! And then someone talking about it made me pick it up again earlier this year, and I INHALED it!

Which has me wondering if I should make it a rule to revisit my DNFs regularly, just in case something's shifted and a book I couldn't stand before has become a potential new fave. It's happened a few times now!

I've seen a couple comments within posts on PB club about doing something called "Personal Updates" on our profiles. How does one do that?

I can't seem to find the thing that allows that but I want to know so I don't break any PB Club rules. And my app is up to date. Before providing any screenshots of this mystery thing, I'm in the UK so any Imgur links are banned

I mostly just stick to posting my reading updates and doing weird posts on PB Club but if I can be an uncomfy potato elsewhere in Pagebound I want to know 🤣
