Recs if you like My Grandfather, the Master Detective...

my favourite genre, these books are so much fun and more and more are being added all the time If anyone has any questions about any book I will try to help. I have read most of them and have reference books on the history of Japanese crime fiction.

If we are going to do Qwordy's the Hardest Reading Challenge You'll Ever Do 3.0 - we should probably get some Pagebound badges along the way! I'm specifically going to be adding books from Quests and readalongs that go past the July start date and match at least one of these title prompts: Periodic Table, Familial Terms, Rainbow of Words (also Joseph's coat), Numerical Titles, Titular Counting 5+, Pun in the Title, and First & Last Name in the Title. Recommendations welcome!

While my first list is great ( Japanese crime novels.)!! It’s very long and I want to highlight the weird and unconventional murder mysteries that Japan produces. With weird settings, formats and or supernatural elements. Plus looking at future releases there is a few more coming out at the end of the year which I will add closer to the date.
I found zombie apocalypse murder mystery!

Translated fiction

Some gems, some disasters... All selected for the cover. Contents may vary. Read at your own risk. ... *NB: There are different editions out there, but these are specifically the ones available here. ... Most of these I've seen in the book store. I've not read all of these but hopefully will one day. Recommendations are welcome.

Mostly Korean and Japanese translated works that have that cozy, slice of life vibes.

Comforting and heartwarming short stories you can read in a day. Cosy and touching. ❤️ Daily struggles of humans solved by the power of love, friendship, books, coffee, tea, and sometimes an animal. 😊 Read in between heavier books. 🇯🇵
