Jane Walkley, out and proud, has been head of girls’ P.E. at Reedbridge High School for more than ten years. Her specialties as a coach are hockey and swimming, and she also plays a mean round of golf. Jane longs to find a woman she can commit to; one who will return her huge capacity for love, and so far, no-one has come anywhere close to her ideal. Jane feels even more abandoned when her best friend Isabel, shocks her by marrying a young medical student and settling down. But then, Isabel introduces her to someone new, someone who presses all the right buttons, and who intrigues and excites her. There’s just one problem...Isabel’s friend Jenni, is a renegade, disillusioned, but still committed nun! Jane suddenly finds herself in competition with God for the hand of a beautiful woman...a task made more difficult by the fact that she is an atheist! As 2020 opens against the backdrop of an impending pandemic in England, these two very different women learn to understand each other and create their own happy ending.
