Recs if you like Ayesha at Last...

Canadian authors writing books set in Canada.

Books that adapt, retell, and pull inspiration from Jane Austen's works.

Books by Muslim authors you should read year round, but even more so this month

Why do we rewatch the 1995 and 2005 adaptations of Pride and Prejudice over and over again? Because it's a timeless story of love! So iconic are Austen's six novels that you can plop the characters and plot shapes in different times, countries, and planets, and you'll still feel the original at its core. This list is book adaptations (published fanfiction) of all six of Austen's novels. The character names don't have to match exactly, but we should know which book it's riffing off from.

Some of my favorite books by Muslim authors+ books on my tbr! ( I’ll keep adding to the list)

"My courage always arises with every attempt to intimidate me"

Celebrating Canadian authors, with an emphasis on fiction. I'm also trying to include a lot of Indigenous authors in this list! Open to suggestions.

Closed-door/no spice romance books with ALL.THE.FEELS.

pride and prejudice retellings and spinoffs

Books with Muslim characters/ settings or by Muslims from across the globe.

Romance Books by Canadian Authors. All sorts of romance (sweet, spicy, dark, light, different subgenres, etc.) so long as it's CanLit.

Have not read all of these, based on Pagebound users knowledge of CanLit Romance as well as my own. Trying to have at least one for each author. Slowly populating this so if you have recommendations, I will happily add them.
