Recs if you like The Tale of Princess Fatima, Warrior Woman: The Arabic Epic of Dhat al-Himma...

No, it's not. You just didn't learn all of history. (A.k.a. not all period dramas need to be all-white all-straight etc. and we have the sources to prove it)

Fiction books by Arab authors and/or books starring Arab characters (and as always, Free Palestine)

Traditional epics from around the world that feature women heroes. By traditional epic I mean stories that were passed down in the oral tradition, or have been part of a culture's heritage through the ages. And by "women heroes" I mean protagonists who are women, whether they act heroically or not. (Same as epics about men, honesty). I have a whole blog series about these stories if anyone would like to know more.

When gods were real and heroes walked the earth, these stories were everything.

If you like The Odyssey, The Iliad, and crave more knowledge on mythological epics told around the world - this list is for you! As much as I love the existing quests and lists around Greco-Roman mythology and its retellings, it fuelled the flame to read other epics that are overshadowed by Greek/Roman/Norse mythology. Start exploring! May you be blessed by the Gods/Goddesses, traveller!

All the books that are in the further reading section! I thought it’d be nice to put in a neat list. Let me know if u miss any!! :)
