if you have any books you'd like me to add, please feel free to say so!
I got some middle eastern fantasy recs for you!! 1.We hunt the flame+ we free the stars 2.Silverworld
Also theres the tale of princess Fatima: warrior women which is an English translation of the only Arabic epic named for a female and I highly recommend it!

Thank you! I'll be adding these!
Thunderbird Trilogy by Sonia Nimr, its a middle-grade fantasy taking in Palestine and Sonia Nimr is a Palestinian author, it's incredible

oh I've never heard of this trilogy but it sounds good! Thank you for the recommendation!!
Hi I’m back again😅 I think The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi would be a great addition to this list even though it is written by a white author. It is very well researched and the culture is well written ( I say this as an Arab who has read some other Arab books). You might not feel like it fits though bc a lot of the characters are mixed or of origins in other places in the Indian Ocean, but a lot of the story takes place in Arab regions and there is a lot of Arab culture thought the book. Idk if this fits what u want for your list bc it’s by a white author and it’s not solely focused on Arab’s, but I thought I’d bring it to your attention!

Hiii! I read the Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi recently yet somehow it escaped my mind to add it to the list! It does fit the criteria (tbf my criteria are very loose; the book has to be written by an Arab and/or have Arab characters) And just like you said, the book is rich in (ancient) Arab culture. Thank you for reminding me of it!! And your recommendations are always welcome! Feel free to come back as many times as you want!
Tysm!! Glad to help :)
Ooo I hadn't seen this list before and I'm seeing some books I had no idea were by Arab authors! I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the ones that weren't on my radar already!

I wanted a list that would make it easy to explore Arabic literature/literature by Arab authors so I'm happy to hear that you'll be checking some of these out!
PS: not all books on here are by Arab authors; some books, like The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi, are on here because they have Arab MCs or explore Arab culture!
