Too many books, too little time has been my excuse for not reading a Melanie Greene novel in a while. But I'm glad Common Ground bubbled up on my TBR. This is a series-starter, set in a small town in the Texas Hill Country. The romance features Livia, who has used an inheritance to buy a B&B in the small town of Honey Wine, and Greg, a man returning to his hometown with dreams of adding the B&B to his neighboring land to offer outdoor adventure packages. There's lots of animosity between the two in the first part of the book - she wants to shake things up while he wants them to stay the same; she's an outsider while he's a hometown boy; and she's got business experience while he's struggling to gain his footing. But soon, undeniable chemistry and a romantic treehouse bring the neighbors together. I enjoyed the characters' growth in both their businesses and in revealing their true selves to each other, and the ending left me grinning.
