Danger Blows in for the Holidays Quint Albertini likes his life as a smokejumper and search and rescue expert. He has his dog, his friends, and his freedom. He’s had it with women who can’t commit or who want him to change, and now all he has to do is dodge the family match-makers so he can live his peaceful life when he’s not leaping head first into danger. When Heather Davis gets trapped on a mountain during a wild winter storm, her carefully laid plans of safety and security go right out the snow filled window. Her saviors, dog and man, quickly capture her heart, even though she’s trying to remain under the radar from a disastrous past that seems to keep coming for her. While Quint and Heather try to ignore the blazing hot attraction between them, the Albertini family has no intention of letting a possible romance fizzle out—especially during the magical holiday season.

Anna Albertini has a very large family. Irish on one side, Italian on the other, all very nosy and loving. This story isn’t about Anna, it’s about her cousin Quint. Although Quint kind of had his head up his butt in the last book, Adverse Possession, it was obvious he is a wonderful man who deserves happiness.
Heather and Quint have a very sweet meet-cute and it’s obvious from the start they would be great together. Apparently, Quint’s family thinks so too and they quickly start butting into his business. From his grandmother to his cousins, everyone wants to see these two together. Not that they’re adverse to dating each other, but they’re both bound and determined to be single for a bit. But the heart wants what the heart wants.
Being that Anna is within a 30-mile radius of this couple, you know there’s going to be trouble. Yet, it’s not her fault this time. Heather has an ex that can’t take no for an answer, and Quint’s ex keeps showing up and making life difficult.
I love the way Quint’s family supports Heather even when they barely know her. As I said, they’re a loving bunch. Heather doesn’t have any family left and they happily fill that void for her. This story had me full of warm-fuzzies and was a lot of fun with intrigue and suspense thrown in.
