Masculinity in Crisis: Contemporary (1980s-2020s)
Literary fiction that explore crises of masculinity. Particularly concerned with outsiders, weirdos, and capitalist alienation in books where the self is in conflict with the masculine ideal, the masculine ideal itself is in flux, or the masculine ideal has been rendered obsolete. Authors of any gender; protagonists exclusively men.
Scottish Literature
This list will showcase the vast amount of Scottish Literature available, from the late medieval period to the present day. Partly inspired by there only being a few Scottish books on the 'British Classics' quest. Alba gu bràth!
