Thank you for this list! I’m an English teacher in the U.S.A. and it’s so interesting to see the overlap. The Hate You Give is such a classic, it really sucks that it’s banned in my state.
I’d be interested to see what you guys read across the pound! I’m sorry to hear it’s been banned in your state- funnily enough last year I started a “banned book collection” for myself when the Trump administration released the banned books lists. Mainly YA and children’s books, but some adults too- I don’t believe in banning literature but if anything were to happen over here in the next few years (god forbid, but you never know) I wanted to make sure I had something tangible to hold onto
