The Viper’s Lady is second in a four-book series and ends on a cliffhanger. It is a slow burn, modern-day retelling, loosely based on the legend of King Arthur. Aspects of the lore will be layered throughout the series, but it is not a fantasy romance. The FMC will eventually end up with more than one love interest, and the ultimate goal is for all the characters to live and love without limits. This surprised me in the best way. I knew going in that it was book 2 in a quartet, so I felt like I was bracing for a mid-story effort. However, even though there are still so many questions that need to be answered, I was enthralled by the pacing and info drops. Max is my favorite damaged baby, but Landon and Kingston are their own brand of yum. I hope Quinn knows how lucky she is. 😏
