I'm giving this book 4.5 stars. I really did end up enjoying this and the audiobook is top tier! I can't wait to continue this story with these characters and get to know them and other characters better!

I'm still really enjoying this book. I will say that the beginning is a bit slow with the world-building and getting to know characters even though I do really enjoy the world-building and the characters we have met. There was a bit more action at the end of chapter 3 and throughout chapter 4 than there had been in chapters 1 & 2 and the beginning of chapter 3. I'm hoping it will continue to pick up as I go so I can give this first book a higher rating since I've had this entire world of books on my physical shelf for almost 3 years.

This book is actually super enjoyable. I know I've seen a lot of discussion about people preferring the Six of Crows duology over the Shadow and Bone trilogy but I am really enjoying the world-building and the characters so far.
