I've noticed most fantasy lists are saturated with YA and romantasy books, but some of us crave adult high-stakes adventures. If you enjoy epic stakes, deep characters, and majestic world-building (without the distraction of romance) this list is for you. For series, I've only added the first book. 📖

I'm sure some of these are already on your TBR, so might as well add some more! Let me know if I am missing any of your favorites!

Stories featuring queer, polyam main characters! Mostly adult books, but contains some YA as well. Although the book doesn't have to have a heavy romantic focus, the polyam rep must be in the MCs, not in side characters. 🫶 (Note: some books in this list are series starters that don't contain polyamory until after the first book!)

Lately I’ve been craving that old school fantasy, but much more diverse than what you’d generally think of when you think of old school fantasy. So this list will be queer epic/high fantasy full of high stakes adventure and perhaps magic, but specifically that has the VIBES. vibes are essential.

As a note I haven’t read all of these books yet but I am making my way through them, and if any of them are not the match I think they are I’ll remove them (or feel free to comment to let me know!)

Books of the polyamorous sort. Haven't read all of them so I could be wrong on some. Some of these are set in non-monogamous cultures even if the protagonists themselves are not engaging in romance or polyamory.
