Just a thought - this story would work much better in a tv show format. I really liked the concept, especially since I haven't read many horror books involving hotels! That being said, I don't think it was executed well. The ghosts weren't scary at all, and it felt very repetitive. In terms of Vivianne, I'm glad that she escaped Simon and went into hiding (even though that was predictable imo). But, I didn't like not knowing if Viv died in prison or from her cancer. I also felt like Viv and Carly's relationship was overhyped and I didn't get to see them connect as much as I'd hoped. Side note - it was hard to tell Carly and Viv's chapters apart. It also felt like we were just waiting to see Carly catch up to what Viv's pov already revealed. Everything just felt super dragged out imo. The ending overall just felt super abrupt and it didn't feel like I got closure. This was definitely my least fav of Simone St. James. Super disappointing, especially since I usually love her books :(
