This is one of the slowest slow burns I've ever read. It was worth the wait. The things that both Atticus & Goldie are going through when they first encounter each other need to be resolved before they can give themselves over to the relationship & love that devleops between them.

Atticus and Goldie are the definition of opposites attract. Atticus is a man of few words and Goldie is the bubbly talkative personality. They are a couple you'd never expect to get together, but they are so good for each other.

If you enjoy opposites attract and even grumpy/sunshine (Atticus isn't grumpy, he's just answers with grunts and doesn't talk unless he feels he needs to). I highly recommend this book.

This is my favorite type of story, one with a grumpy/sunshine vibe. That said, both of the main characters in this story bring a ton of emotional baggage into their everyday lives, which doesn't usually bode well for a relationship. Add in the fact that at least initially, these two really don't care for each other. There is a great deal of sexual tension right from the beginning though and there are hot scenes throughout, even though there is also a lot of angst getting to happily ever after.
