The 80s were loud, complicated, joyful, heartbreaking, and transformative. These books capture the decade from every angle.
Niche History: HIV/AIDS
Books that focus on the AIDS epidemic (mostly US, mostly the 80s-90s - though not exclusively). This includes history, sociology, cultural criticism of the time, and even fiction. This is such an important era to understand modern politics - especially queer politics and the LGBTQ+ community

I donβt have friends, I have family
Channeling my inner Dom Toretto. Whoever said you canβt choose your family never experienced the joy of the found family trope!
Books with friendships so strong, they might as well be family. Some fun, some bittersweet, some toxic.
This list is incomplete, Iβve just added books that I have read and know are found family so please please please give me recommendations!

He narrates both Adult and YA books so I have made a little breakdown in the comments about which book is which, in case you want to avoid one or the other!

Banned books: Romance Edition
As the romance genre has increased in popularity so have the attempts to ban it, often due to LGBTQIA+ themes or explicate content. Decreasing the stigma around sex and show casing both good and bad romantic and sexual scenarios is essential in helping people (especially women) navigate their lives and get the information they needs. So, whether you're a romance fanatic or spicy scenes aren't really your thing, here is a list of banned or challenged romance books. Recs welcome
